Hello all! It has been quite a nasty day in Jacksonville today. It was the perfect day to come straight home and stamp. I made seven cards and here are two that I made using an embossed circle with a scallop mat.

I cut the circle and used each piece on two cards. All products are Stampin Up and use the new "in colors" Enjoy! More to come tomorrow!

Well here is my first template digital layout. It was quite easy but only with the help of tons of websites out there. I didn't realize how many websites offered digital parts, pieces or the whole layout! Like this one, I only had to add the picture, but I chose to add a title and journalling. Pretty neat. Give it a try!. I'll post some site I ran across later. Time for a photo shoot!

It's been quite a while since I have posted to my blog but it's not because I haven't been creative. I have completed over one hundred scrapbook pages since the first of the year, including several albums for hire and almost half of last year for myself!

I finally decided to take a break and make a few cards. Here is the first using the new "In colors" from Stampin Up! The stamp is one of the new individual stamps you can purchase from the back of the catalog! The design is from Laura's Sketch 21.

Monday was the first day of 5th Grade for Katie! I cannot believe she is almost as tall as me! They were supposed to start on Friday and because of Tropical Storm "Fay" they rescheduled for Monday! She was so disappointed. She had her clothes picked out for almost a week only to find her wait was a little longer!

Dots and the Cutest Little Bird

First of all let me say I have really missed blogging but things have just been so busy there is little time for the computer and stamping. I did receive some new goodies from my sister and had to play!

This card was made using my new bird stamp...isn't he just the cutest with the little flower on his butt. I used one of the brads she sent for the center of the flower. I colored the bird with my prisma color pencils and OMS. I really need to venture out on some new coloring techniques but I just love my pencils!

Also, if you have time, please stop by my niece Rachel's blog and wish her well. She has been diagnosed with breast cancer and is blogging her daily steps. She has incredible faith and strength to fight this as you will read.

CROP Room Redo.....Michaels Storage Cubes

Michaels recently had their storage cubes 50% off so I took advantage and purchased a few. I wanted a window seat in the bonus room so DH built a "frame" for the cubes while I was away at my weekend crop and what a FINE job he did! Sadie loves them as she can now come upstairs and look for her friends taking a walk!

I hope to have everything reorganized by the end of the week and I'll post more pics!

BTW...I managed to complete 39 pages at the weekend crop and I"ll be posting pics of those also.

Just Hangin' Around

TGIF! What a week it has been. A full week of work and I already need a vacation. I am having a small get together Saturday night for the Jaguars game so tomorrow I"ll be getting things together for that. I don't see a Stamping Saturday in my future for a few weeks. I have so many new stamps and no time to play with them. It's just not fair!

Today's card is Just Hangin Around. I love my new set from Ecelectic Paperie. It's the bundle in the clear paint can. I can't decide if I want to store them in the can or decorate it. The paper is from the $ spot at Target. They have a ton of stuff right now....mailboxes, paper, pens, glitter, ribbon and you can't beat it for a buck!

Embrace Life

This card was made using the new Embrace Life stamp set from Stampin Up. The stem is actually another flower in the set but I used dimensionals and placed it on top of the other flower I used my Prismacolor Pencils to color the flower. I love my new Prismacolor pencils, the 120 piece set. I can match just about anything. This pencil matches the Stampin Up Blue Bayou paper perfectly.

For those of you who were lucky enough to receive an iPhone or iTouch for Christmas, I have found a site called TouchTip that offers great add on applications. They update it almost every day. I have found quite a few helpful additions to my iTouch. They even have an entry telling you how to add google reader to your itouch or iphone! Now you can ready your blogs wherever you are!

Time Well Spent

This is a new hostess set from the new Spring-Summer Stampin Up catalog. The images in this set are just adorable and very versatile. I have used the large flower which was stamped twice and layered for dimension. The leaves and stem are also separate pieces to the set to you can place them as you wish. I used my Prismacolor pencils to color the whole image and added darker colors for shading rather than just blending the edges. I love the deep color and shading this creates.

Everyone went back to regular rountine yesterday.... work, school, what to cook for dinner. I'd much rather be stamping and playing Guitar Hero III for Wii. Everyone in our family is addicted to this game. Katie got it for her birthday in November. I have mastered Guitar Hero on Easy and Medium levels. Hard is going to be another story. Now if they would come out with another guitar so we could play together and not have to wait for each other to play.

Happy Love Day Beate's Weekly Challenge

This is my "out of the box" take on Beate's weekly challenge. I used the bee rather than the circle she used on her sketch. The bee is colored with my prismacolor pencils and the hearts are acctned with the stardust pen. The DP is new paper from Target in the $ spot!

It feels great to get to use all of my new stamps and supplies that have been sitting in the shopping bag for a weeks. Now I just have to find somewhere to put them. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks we will be starting on some storage for the craft room. I can't wait to be organized.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. The last few months have been hectic around here hindering my blogging and stamping! We had a wedding the first of December, more Christmas parties than we have ever been to put together, hosted a party of our own with 34 people and had to put down our little buddy Scooter who would have been 15 New Years Eve. We miss him but he is in a better place.

Now that the holidays are behind us and everything is packed neatly back up in the attic I can concentrate on some new projects.

My first card of the year is made using those cute Stampendous Changitos! I used dimensionals behind the top one and one of the leaves. I also distressed the edges with the edger and ink. I used the DCWV premade card and colored the images with prismacolor pencils. I broke down and got the 120 piece set because you can never have enough colors!

I used my new Ott light to take the photo. I set it up on my work surface and thought maybe it would be great for the photos also! Bingo. The images are nice, crisp and bright.

We go back to regular routine tomorrow. Full work week, school, cooking and cleaning! Is it time for a vacation yet? Happy work week!

The Little Green Frog

I was picking up the Halloween decorations this afternoon from the front yard and put all my little jars for tealights in a pile. This little frog about the size of my thumbnail hopped on the edge of one of the purple jars! The color contrast was amazing so I grabbed my camera and he was willing to pose for a few shots! He looks pretty large in the photo but he is actually about 3/4" long!

Halloween Girls Scary and Sweet

Here are the girls in their costumes for Halloween! Sadie (Tinkerbell) walked one street and was beat. I had to carry her the rest of the way! Katie (Corpse Bride) had a hard focus on CANDY! She inventoried it all today and counted 277 pieces! She will track it all as she eats it so she knows how much is left! Good thing I bought my own! LOL

I've Been Everywhere!

I cannot believe how long it has been since I have posted to my blog! It's not because I haven't been stamping but I have had a busy schedule. I attended Regionals in Orlando the end of September and it was a blast! I also spent a couple of days with a friend in Lakeland and we shopped and made jewelry. I spent weekend before last decorating my guest room. It turned out fabulous. I painted it a warm milk chocolate tan and accented with deep brown and aqua!

I had to prepare for two classes which mean preparing and cutting for 400 cards plus designing each card! I made a few inbetween to post on my blog but everytime I made one, I needed it for an occasion and that person read my blog so I couldn't post.

Last night I made a card using the Sweet Pea stamp from one of the hostess sets! I just love this little pea and used my prismacolors and gamsol to color him in. I also added the white dots with the Stampin Up white pen which is to die for if you have not used one! It will write white on white! I have already ordered three to keep on hand. This is a simple card but I love it.

Hopefully now that I have many tasks behind me I can get some more cards done and post! I miss checking my blog and visiting everyone on my google reader! Hopefully things will slow down a bit before they kick back up for the Holidays!

This is a card I made last week. I wanted to use this stamp and paper but couldn't get the look I really wanted so I left it at this. I will probably redo it later, but I am working on my 100 cards for swaps at Regionals this weekend. I only made 25 on Saturday and cut pieces for another 25. I can't wait to meet all the bloggers in Orlando this weekend! Let me know if you are going to be there and I"ll be looking for you.

Little Lady Sadie...Tinkerbell

We found this tonight and could not resist such a cute costume for such a cute little dog! It was between Tinkerbell and Snow White. Katie picked Tinkerbell. It is adorable!

Here she is....the fabulous Witchybella. I stamped her on Shimmery White cardstock and colored her with the Prismacolor pencils. The trick or treat stamp is from the $ bin at Joanns. I used the dauber and orange ink to shade the edges of the circle.

It is still raining here! We have plenty to share if you need some! You can almost see the grass growing is loves the rain so much!

I don't usually make alot of Halloween cards but when I saw these witch legs from Northwood, I had to have them! I knew they would be so cool colored with the Prisma pencils and diamond glazed accents! The trick or treat is from Hero Arts. I punched the stars and added the green behind...kind of a witchy eyelet! lol

It has rained cats and dogs here today (4 - 7" in different parts of town). Lots of closed streets, even interstates were closed at different times of the day. I was glad to come home. It's still raining but I'm in my PJ's and getting ready to do some stamping! Maybe we'll see the sun tomorrow.

Beate's 09/15 Weekend Challenge

I finally found some time to take on one of Beate's famous challenges! They are always so nicely designed and easily adaptable to just about any stamps. I based my colors on the K-Ology 6X6 pad of paper I purchased from Michaels. It goes so well with SU Old Olive! I used another piece of DP for the flowers and cut them out and "curled" them. I didn't want to wrap the ribbon all the way around the card so I cut the ends to leave a nice finish.

It has been really hot and muggy here this weekend so I stayed inside and straightened up the craft room and managed to get in a little shopping! It was friends and family time at Michaels and I managed to get my share of goodies....all at 40% off! It's back to work tomorrow so I'm off to play some more!

Be Merry - Unit Card Swap

Each month at our unit meeting we do a card swap. This is my card for this month! I wanted to do something merry and bright so I went with the red, whte and blue theme. I stamped the snowman on that awesome shimmery white card stock and added the blue edge with the dauber. The white background was done with the white staz on ink pad! I love that product but it is so hard to get off of your stamps. The white is ok though because I probably won't stamp snowflakes in too many other colors! lol

This has been a fast week. I haven't gotten as much stamping done as I would like but hopefully tomorrow I'll knock out a few more projects!

New Lizzie Anne High Hellos and MIA

I've been MIA for a few days and it seems like I haven't posted in forever, but I have a good excuse, I promise! I was getting ready for open house, regionals in Orlando, two Christmas card classes and a framed art class. I will post pictures after all of the classes! Don't want to spoil any surprises.

My card for tonight features my New Lizzie Anne Designs Stamp set "High Hellos". This is the cutest stamp set and I ordered it on Monday and it was waiting for me when I got home today! That is AWESOME service! I couldn't wait to play. I used green textured cardstock and used my dauber to make large white dots for the background. The flower is colored with my Prisma pencils and blended with OMS.

I also received my latest shipment of Bella stamps...how addicting those gals are! I'll share that card tomorrow!

I made this card for some invites to my open house. I added my invites on a separate piece of paper and gave the card to the people I invited that had never stamped so they would have an idea of what you can do with stamps. I even gave them an envelope to mail this card if they would like.

I used the Level 2 Hostess Set, In the Spotlight. This set has SO many cool stamps that you can do so many things with. What I love is that when you change the color, it looks completely different. I also added the stardust glitter pen over each dot around the flowers and the center. It really makes it "WOW"

When I sent out my invites, one person received the email with a link to my blog. She asked a coworker if she knew another SU demo (me). She said "well, I didn't know she sold SU, but I think I know her from somewhere else". After checking out my blog and family link to the left, it was me....the person she knew about 12 years ago when our husbands were in the Navy. I taught her how to One Stroke paint. I didn't realize it had been so long as they moved away in 1997 and we heard from them one time since. They are now back living in Jacksonville but we didn't know! Small World.

Today, Sadie is one year old! I can't believe we have had her almost a year (we got her in November). When Katie and I got home this afternoon we celebrated with Sadie's birthday with mini cupcakes. Scooter wasn't going to miss out on the celebration! Here they are all waiting do dive into their cupcakes and then trying to finish first so they can help out the other!

On Saturday, Sadie's picture will be in the local newspaper in the First Annual Pet Idol contest! I'll be posting a link so everyone can vote for her! She can win a trip to the Pet spa with the big bone shaped swimming pool! oooooh!!

School started Friday and I have added my daughter's photo to the my favorite photo. She was so excited she was up at 5:40 AM. We'll see how long that lasts.

I started this blog to inspire me to be creative and use all the supplies I am buying! Well since I started Pottsplace, I have also become a Stampin Up demo! I can't believe I have posted 100 entries to my blog AND how many cards I have made over the last few months. Here is my stash of some of the cards I have made! I can't believe it!

To celebrate and thank you guys for inspiring me to keep creating, I am giving away some goodies! Hoppy Birthday

I am not a frog person, but when I fell in love with this set right. There are the cutest little bugs and animals in this set and it comes with the cutest sayings! I used some paper my sister, Crafty Kthy bought for me when we visited her in June. I love the colors and when I started coloring the shrooms, I knew the paper would be perfect for the card.

I stamped the images on Shimmery White cardstock and colored them with the prisma color pencils and OMS. I used a darker green and blended the spots on the frog. The shroom has sparkle on the polkadots which were done with the star dust Gelly Roll pen.

I used a sketch from Beate's blog which I didn't get to last week. I love how all came together, stamps, paper and sketch.

Huggabella - Enjoy Your Day

WHY do these bella stamps have to be SO darn cute? AND so addicting! I received Huggabella in the mail on Saturday and have just had the chance to sit down and play with her. This has to be one of my very favorite bellas. I used the DCWV cards and textured carstock and my paper piercing template and tool to accent the bottom of the mat. The Enjoy your day is from the Riveting set by SU. It was retired which makes me sad because that was a great set.

If you haven't seen the latest creation at Stamping Bella, you must go have a look! I'm sure you will find a bella that we all NEED and can relate to. She is clickabella and she is sitting at her computer like we all do just oohing and awwing over all of the wonderful creations everyone has on their blogs every day. The sentiment that goes with her is a must have also! UGH....I'm gonna have to order again!

I absolutely love the 3X3 card. It is fast and easy to make and perfect additions to gift baskets or when you need just a little something. I made this card for my friend that is battling cancer. She has her up and down days and this week has not been easy so I thought this would cheer her up.

I used the Stampendous stamps and the cuttlebug for the backgound. I also used a piece of just rather than ribbon for the accent. Looks like monkey vine to me! The monkey was colored with Prismacolor and OMS.

I am almost on a first name basis with the man in brown! This is the third time in a week he has dropped by to see me and bring those wonderful Stampin Up Boxes! I don't have anymore orders coming from them but I did order 100 sheets of that WONDERFUL Shinnery White cardstock! I bought the 10 piece pack and have hoarded every scrap because I knew I would need a little word window or something. That will be here Wednesday and I can bring myself to using it more! It stamps SOOOOO nice!

This card is made using the shimmery cardstock. The photo just doesn't do it justice. I used the sun punch from EK SUccess for the mat for the sentiment, the bubbles Cuttlebug embossing folder and the cutest dog stamp!

Here are the cards I received back from Kimberly's Kid Card Swap. These cards are just adorable and each of them have their own special "WOW" to them.

The first one was made by Jennifer. She used the Joy fold card from Beate's blog posted a while back. The card opens up to the sentiment inside and the left side is a gift card holder.

The next card is from Kimberly. Kim's card is dimensional and has the frog peeking out of the pocket with his birthday hat on. There are the cutest little silver buttons on the edge of the pockets! Just like real jeans!

The next card was made by me! The alien has google eyes and I used diamond glaze to make warts on his body!

The last, but in no way least, is a card from Tara. Her card is a birth announcement and features a slide out from the giraffe that gives the info about the baby.

I am so glad I participated in this swap. It is fun and exciting to see what you get and other's takes on the same stamp set!

Little Lady Sadie gets a New Doo!

Little Lady Sadie went to the Poochie Spa on Friday for her regular grooming which is a nice trim, skirted and fluffy! Well they picked up the wrong card and gave her a puppy cut. She looked pretty bald at first but at least she is still cute as a button!

No stamping for me this weekend. It's been hot and we're getting ready to go back to school. This is post #98 though only two more till blog candy!

I sent this RAK card to Paula at Look I'm Stamping. She makes the cutest cards and is addicted to the Michael's $ stamps just as I am! This card was made using one of the new wooden stamps colored with my Prismacolor pencils and blended with Gamsol. I distressed the edges and used my new mesh Cuttlebug embossing folder for the center piece of cardstock. I then added three copper brads for accent at the bottom.

Today is the day to register for regionals in Orlando! I can't wait. Anyone else going? I'd love to meet you!

Eek! Halloween Card

I saw this stamp at AC Moore and had to have it. I immediately thought of using he swarovski crystals for his eyes and they really pop on the purple paper making an eerie glow. The ribbon is from the new KI selection at Joanns. It is adhesive but I just left the backing on.. I used the dauber around the edges for a spooky feel! I'm quite pleased with the results!

This card was made using the sketch from Jen's site "I heart 2 stamp". All of the paper is from Lasting Impressions and the Stamp is SU Fun and Fast Notes. This card reminds me of the Laura Ashley patterns. I stamped the bird on the striped paper then cut him out and put him on the first stamped image.

I did all three challenges I posted today last night. I was on a great creating roll but it was time for bed. Hopefully the creative juices will be flowing again today. Only four more posts till blog candy!

This card was made using the sketch challenge from CPS. My first though was to put something in each of those squares, then I thought out of the square and just made them decorative. I used my prismacolor pencils and blended the flower on the shimmery white cardstock. If you haven't tried this cardstock, it is a must! I ration every little scrap.

I love the way the colors came together for this card. The ribbon is from the "Martha" collection at Michaels. It's one of the few items in her line that is not overpriced. You actually get more ribbon than that of a normal roll!

Happy Birthday Wishes - Beate's Weekend Challenge

This is Beate's weekend challenge. I love the different fold of the card. I used SU Fun and Fast Notes. I took Beate's advice and cut the sayings off and mounted them to the end of the blocks. I can see where I will use these alot more because I just love the font they used for this set.

I colored the cake with my Copic Markers. Maybe once I get the chance to sit down and play with them and learn to blend I'll like them better....or I'm just HOOKED on my Prismacolor Pencils!

Tomorrow is the first day to register for regionals in Orlando. I can't wait as this will be the first SU pow wow and I'm sure I will be WOWED! Anyone else going?

This is a birthday card I made for Flossie. I used one of the new $ stamps from Michaels and a selection of colored cardstock. I colored the image with my favorite prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I like that the layers are different sizes on this card. It gives it a fun look to go with the stamp.

I am hoping to get my table cleared off in the bonus room today so I can make some cards. I have a ton of new stamps I haven't even dirtied the rubber on! I also have several altered projects to make but the mood hasn't struck to work on those yet! Hopefully soon

With Heartfelt Sympathy

Although I make tons of cards I rarely send any of them! I add them to my basket or sell them. I did make this sympathy card for a family friend that just lost their father. My father passed away in June and I could not believe the number of cards my Mother received. She could have opened her own store! She was also touched by each and every card she received.

I have decided it is time for me to start sending some of the cards I make. Someone in blogland will be getting a card in the mail from me today or Monday! I hope they are as excited about receiving it as was about sending it!

My cleaner didn't come this week so I took the opportunity to do some hard cleaning (even used DH's toothbrush....not really) so I'm off to tackle another room! It's tax free weekend here so I hope to get some shopping in sometime! Happy Saturday!

I made this card using the Fun and Fast Notes set by SU. I love the font they chose for this set as it adds a little "fun" to your cards. The background is embossed with the Baby Cuttlebug folder. The buggy is colored using my prisma pencils and blended with Gamsol.

This card was made using the Fun and Fast Notes set from SU. Once I got the card made, I was not crazy about the colors, but it is a cheerful little card. I stamped the stars twice in white and popdotted the top star and added a brad. The background is stamped from the Polka Dot and Paisley set and the yellow is embossed with the Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Here is another card made using the new wooden $ stamps from Michaels. I have used the friends embossing folder for the background. The little accents at the bottom are cut word windows. I just love that punch. It comes in handy for so many things! I also added flower brads to match.

The Dirty Dare

I finally got a chance to sit down and try a couple of the Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen Challenges. They didn't come easy today so I only accomplished two but I'll try again tomorrow.

The first challenge was to create a card using no black or brown. The colors must be muted. I chose the Michaels $ stamp "thoughts of you" and muted pinks and greens. I wasn't thrilled with this card but it's done.

The second challange was to create an ATC. These are so much fun to make! I used the BBQ $ stamp. That little grill is so cute! I also used the you're invited from an acrylic $ set. I used the prismacolor pencils to color the grill! I love the way the black blends to a nice gray.

This card was made using the scraps from the one I posted a couple of days ago. The card side is 3 X 6. I love the size as it is different and I can make four cards out of a 12X12 piece of paper...and I have LOTS of 12X12! lol I used the flower from the Doodle This set and colored the center with my glitter pen to coordinate with the glitter cardstock DP.

I had to have that "Hey Cupcake" stamp! It is just too cute! I used it here and color with my Copic Markers. The scallop is inked with Brillance ink along with the word window. The paper was in my scrap pile.

The UPS man finally showed up at 5:45 last night with my Stampin Up goodies! I was going to post but I had a terrible headache and slept till midnight so I got up and cut and mounted all the stamps so I'll be ready to go this afternoon when I get home from work! TGIF!

OBVIOUSLY my UPS man needs training on the delivery of Stampin Up orders! I got home from work and my tracking says OUT FOR DELIVERY and it not on my doorstep! Oh the horror!

In the meantime, here is a card made with the Double Line Doodles set. I just love the frame that comes with the set but was having a hard time incorporating it into a card. Then I came up with this masterpiece! I love the inked embossed swirls in the background. They tie in with the swirls of the frame. I used pieces of the word window to make the accents on the side. A final touch of the black and white gingham stapled to the top and it's done!

Going back to the front door to wait for the Man in Brown!

This is one of my favorite cards. It was really simple.

I used the new Heidi Grace clear stamp set from Joanns. I used pink cardstock and the brown and pink paper is from the Glitter Mat stack. I used the SU word window punch for the saying....I'm so glad I purchased that punch! It comes in quite handy. The paper was embossed using the cuttlebug embossing folder.

This card was made using the Double Line Doodles set. I started with the flower and the design paper and it just kept going and going until I had all these layers! I stamped the flower twice and popdotted one for dimension. I also used the SU Paper Piercing template for the two corners.

My Demo kit has shipped and will be here on Thursday! I can't wait to play with my new toys!

Cherish Altered Magnetic Frame

This was a cute pink magnetic frame from the $ spot at Michaels! I couldn't find any locally so when my sister came to visit, she brought me a few. I don't remember the design paper brand but the cardstock is DCWV. I stamped the Cherish fro the Hero Arts stamps and the flower and swirls from SU Doodle This.

Everyone at work today wanted one of these so I'll be on the hunt for some more!

I am so addicted to the Stampin Up Shimmery White cardstock. It stamps really nice and the sparkle is just enough to dress up the image. If you haven't tried it, it's a MUST!

The cardstock and design paper is from DCWV (I will never run out of this paper!) and the ribbon is from Michaels. I used my prismacolor pencils to color in the image stamped from the Double Line Doodles set.

I finally got to use my word window punch! I realized today that most of my SU stamps are retired :(, but my consultant kit will be here on Thursday with LOTS of new stuff to play with!

This card is made using the Doodle This and warm words sets. I used the DCWV distressed looking paper and distressed the brown mat using the distressing tool. I did two layers of the flowers and popdotted one on top of the other. The center is an acrylic embellishment from Joanns.

I couldn't wait to do this simple card posted today by Beate. You would think such a simple challenge would take no time but once I got started on this card I just couldn't stop! I embossed the background with the Cuttlebug folder, used the google eyes and popdotted the hat and present! Of course the images are colored with my Prismacolor pencils! How great they are!

These are some of the new $ stamps at Michaels. I made this card with several layers the bottom one using the cuttlebug swirl embossing folder. I inked all the edges with the brown distressing ink to give it a little "rugged" look. I'm quite pleased with the results.

PapertreyInk and Transparency

After seeing Sandra's transparency card I had to try one. I used the PapertreyInk stamp set (I knew I saved this one for a special occassion) and my Brillance teardrop inkpads. I love how they blend. I also stamped the transparency with the flower and leaves. I was surprised how quickly the transparency dried.

The first three layers are on top of the transparency and the black mat is on the backside of the front. I have you haven't tried these, they are a must!

A Little Birdie Told Me....NEW STAMPS!

When I went to the mailbox this afternoon I found a HUGE pink envelope containing all these new Michaels $ stamps! They were from Anna who knew I had been looking for them! There are a few more to collect for this round of wooden ones but I have also learned there is a whole new set of acrylic stamps at Michaels so be on the lookout for 12 new sets! Thanks Anna!

I couldn't resist making a card with one of the new stamps. I used all scraps except for the card base. I took on the challenge of the technique listed on SCS today. I have a little practicing but love the shaded look using the Copic markers! I don't think it will take long to get the hang of it, it will be just the choosing the right amount of ink for shading.

Stampin Up Stamp Camp

I went to a Stampin Up Stamp Camp on Saturday for the unveilng of the new catalog. I already had one because I just COULDN'T wait to check it out! These are the four projects we made:

The stationary holder was done using the Wide wheel. It's been a long time since I used my roller. I'm not quite sure I still even have one but will probaby have to have one of the large ones as they make really nice backgrounds. We also used the wheel guide. Pretty much a copy of the perfect layers ruler to me, but I love the way it connects for a longer length. It would come in handy for more uses than just the Wheel Guide.

The "U" card we made was embossed which is another thing I have not done for quite some time. When I first started stamping about 12 or so years ago, everything was embossed. Stamping options have really changed over those years! I love the white stamped flower in the background of this card.

The little green card was just adorable with the flower bakground colored in with the white glaze pen in the center. It just give is a little "pop" but makes a big difference on the finished project. This was a really cute stamp set also.

The last project was the treat bag using the monkeys. I love the vines in this set. Although I think I like my Stampendous monkeys better

Bee Trio and New Watermark

First let me tell you about my new AWESOME watermark from Mama Dini's Digi-Sig Diner! She posted on her blog one night the first person that emailed her would be her 50th customer and would get a free watermark design! In the photo above you will see her awesome work! Thanks Dini!!!

It's been a hectic week and thought I was getting back into the groove by making two cards yesterday but got up this morning and one eye was what felt like "glued" shut. I rinsed it out and it doesn't hurt but it is about half swollen shut. The pharmacist gave me a rinse and said if it wasn't better tomorrow to go have it looked at!

This card is made using the Stampendous Bee Trio. I love these little guys and love the look of them being colored using colors other than yellow and black! I used scraps for all but the card base. The inspiration for the colors was my daughters room which is pink (what else!), orange and lime green!

Be Silly & Have Fun Kids Card

I made this card for Kimberly's kids card swap. I used the google eyes with drawn eyelashes and some dimensional glaze for "warts". The monster stamp is Provo Craft and I'm still looking for the Monster/Alien that is laying down if anyone has one they want to part with! The "be silly & have fun" is from Hero Arts. I stamped the "giggle" using Stampin Up Warm Words.

I have fallen off the bloggin bandwagon for a few days. Went away for the weekend and been busy at work. Hopefully I'll find the top of my tables soon and create. I miss my stamping. Going to a stamp camp this weekend for the unveiling of the new SU catty although I couldn't wait and bought one last week! I already have my list and am ready to order!

In the meantime, I have been tagged by Ila and Kimberly so here goes my seven facts about me...

1. I love photography. My main subject is my daughter who LOVES to have her picture taken and it really shows!

2. I am seriously considering becoming a Stampin Up Demonstrator....I used to sell CTMH!

4. My DH and I have won many two step and swing dance competitions. I swore I would NEVER date anyone that wore a cowboy hat!

7. I have been published on the cover of a national Scrapbook Magazine.

This is my favorite stamp from this Stampin Up set! I created this card from a sketch someone posted over the weekend, but I couldn't find it when I posted tonight. I used my prismacolor pencils to color the image and made the three "Bayer Asprin" using punched circles and gray marker.

This was one of the many cards in Linda tin I posted on Monday! Linda LOVED her tin and took it home at lunch so no one would leave with it! lol

I work with Linda and she buys cards from me all the time. She was disappointed she didn't get the altered paint can at the Christmas Secret Santa so I had to make her a tin to hold her cards and stock her up!

The parer is from the great stack at Costco. I just love that paper and I just can't stop using it. I used the Stampin Up Doodle That flower and vine. The tabs were made using the sizzix tab die.

Beate's Weekend Challenge

Beate over at Fresh and Fun posted a great and simple weekend challenge. I didn't realize until I had the card made that the sentiment was supposed to be on the border, not the circle, but I liked the card so much I'm posting it. I will make another card with the sentiment in the correct position.

The paper is from the Magnolia stack from Costco and the stamps are from Stamping Up. I have popdotted the rivit on and the three small orange dots are embellishments from Joanns.

Of Corset's Your Birthday!

I think this is of one of my favorite cards. I used the Art Impressions stamps and the swirls embossing folder from Cuttlebug. The swirls are embossed on metallic purple cardstock (DCWV) on a black card base. I popdotted the sentiment and tied black sheet ribbon.

I am making cards for a friends birthday to put in a tin. She buys cards from me all the time so she can now have her own little collection.

I finally broke out the "Martha" glitter. I used the glue ink pad and it worked great! I used the aqua paper and glitter for a tone on tone technique.

Doodle That with Warm Words!

I LOVE the colors in this card. I used the My Favorite Things "Retail Therapy" stamp set. The image is colored with my Copic markers....man they are nice! I just happen to have the perfect ribbon. Good friends are priceless is stamped on the inside. The picture just does not do this one justice.

I have wanted to do one of these cards for a while but just never got around to it. I used the kids stack for the DP which is embossed. The cake is from the Wordsworth Birthday set along with the saying. I couldn't fine the tutorial for this card so I just adjusted the base for the height after I added the circle on the top. The "stitching" around the saying was done to match the square on the circle. These were really fun to make.

I have seen the Artist Trading Cards on several sites and had to give one a try. I hope to pick up a swap for these in the near future as they are quick and easy to make and are so cute!

I used the bee daisy stamp from Stampendous and popdotted him on the front. I tied the ribbon around the yellow and used my Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol to color that cute little guy! He looks much better IRL. The photo came out a little fuzzy.

Cute Gift Bag

I made this little gift bag with my new Cricut Expressions. The "ric-rac" was also cut from the Expressions machine. I stamped the flourish from the SU doodle that set in yellow and white in the background. The flower is from the CK stuff on clearance at Joanns. The ribbon I have had laying around a while. Love the colors and it's perfect for this project.

Once I get my craft room back in order I"ll have more time to play. There are two 6 ft tables in there now and you can't see the top of either one! :)

MONKEY BUSINESS

After a long, emotional rollercoaster of a week, we are finally back home and have computer access! What did we ever do without them? I did a little scrapbooking today. I believe my favorite size is the 8X8. Large enough for more than one photo, but small enough for great, quick pages.

I used the new Stampendous Changito pair and the side border is the Hero Arts Dot Flourish stamp. I used the Quickutz Sunshine letters and ribbon from Michaels. The paper is from the new collection from Costco.

This is a card made with the Glitter stack paper. The Celebrate in the middle of the flower (popdotted) is an embellishment from the Craft Essentials line from Joanns. The ribbon is from the Martha line at Michaels.

You can't see the glitter very well in the photo, but it's around some of the circles. I also had problems photographing the card getting the colors correct.

Altered Clipboard

I love this Bella! My daughter says she wants her car to look just like this one when she can drive! lol I colored the convertible with prismacolor pencils blended with Gamsol and the stardust pen for the headlights! The car is popdotted on for dimension. I used the Amuse stamp for the saying. Left the inside blank for a note card. Just cut a strip of black for the road and Cruisabella is ready to roll!

Birthday Bella

What a mail day I had yesterday! I received my Bella order, Papertreyink AND My Favorite Things. I couldn't decide what to use first! The only thing I am waiting on now is the Bind it all. If you have a project using the bind it all on your blog, please let me know. I'll be looking for ways to justify that purchase! lol

Here is my first Bella card and I incorporated Beate's sketch challenge. I love this layout. I used the Cuttlebug for the texture and the large scallop punch and faux eyelets tutorial from Jen del Muro's blog. Bella is colored in with the prismacolor pencils and blended with Gamsol. I colored her flowers with the stardust pen for a little "bling". The large brads are Making Memories.

The sentiment on the inside reads "wishing you a birthday that's just your style" from the Bella collection, of course!

Time Out

Since I am cleaning up the tables in my craft room, I don't have anything new to post so I decided to put up an altered clock I did about a month ago. I purchased the clock from Michaels. They have that small decorator section now that has tons of stuff screaming alter me! Some of it they even have at 70% off right now! I have picked up several pieces to make to have on hand for gifts.

The clock goes on the shelf in my bonus room. I have two mantle type shelves on the wall that house black and white prints I have taken so I thought the clock would be a neat addition to the shelf since it does have a b/w photo! I glued the background paper and cut "family with my cricut. The love stamp is from the Autumn Leave $ stamps from Joanns and the swirls are also Autumn Leaves I believe. I added the prima flowers with brads. The pink distressing was already on the paper. This was a really quick and fun project.
